Another piece of news from volleyball. Mount Si High School’s head volleyball coach Bonnie Foote, for the first time in over 10 years, will be taking a club team back to the nationals as well.
Her team, the Kent-based Kent Juniors’ 12’s, earned an American division bid in the U-12 age group this past weekend at their Puget Sound Region bid tournament, and this trip to nationals for Foote is the first since she retired from full-time coaching with KJ back in 2007. The team she is coaching this spring includes her daughter Isabelle, who has been a fixture at Mount Si matches, and several of her friends. The full roster includes players Rachel Senger, Hailey Judd, Kinsey Weiss, Samantha Humphrey, Hannah Peschel, Keira Lum-Long, Kirsten Larsen, Alyse Skagen, Ainsley Weatherford and Annika Wright. The girls are all fourth through sixth graders and most attend schools within both the Kent and Tahoma School Districts, with a couple exceptions – one attends a school in the Auburn School District and a second is a private school student.
RidgeValley, Foote’s organization based in Snoqualmie, as you know has a U-12 entry this spring but they did not enter this tournament. That team is coached by Foote’s longtime Mount Si assistants Dave Bachman and Cristin Stahlberg. READ ARTICLE HERE
